Dantra Group celebrates centennial with 12 new LAG Tankers
Dantra, one of Denmark’s leading tank transporters, recently celebrated its 100th birthday. The Danish chemical transporter expanded its fleet with 12 new LAG stainless steel tankers. The tankers showcase some interesting features.
Founded in 1920, the Dantra Group reached its 100th operational year in 2020. The company is still family owned and currently led by the 4th generation. The Dantra group boasts a huge fleet of over 250 units.
During the last 37 years, a strong partnership has formed with Jorn Bolding A/S. The trailer rental and sales specialist recently delivered another 12 LAG stainless steel tank trailers to the transport giant adding up to his tally of over 100 vehicles delivered.
An impressive order
The order is split in 2 even parts of 6 tankers with a volume of 37 500 L. The first half of vehicles has 1 chamber, while the other make use of 3 chambers. All valves are air-operated and the controls are mounted in stainless steel cabinets. The semi-trailers are equipped with insulation of 150 mm and heating. In addition, they are adapted to Dantra's wishes for equipment like insulated discharge pipes.
The Belgian tanker specialist LAG Tankers has made some smart additions to the vehicles. The company has added a special anti-spark filter to the pressure duct collector to filter out the static electricity. This addition enhances the safety even more when transporting hazardous goods. Furthermore, the heating circuit makes use of a separate steam line so the driver never needs to unload the water of his standard heating circuit to increase the temperature with steam.
It seems like Dantra is ready to go another 100 years.
