Sweet collaboration between Albert Keijzer and LAG Trailers

Albert Keijzer is expanding its fleet with a new range of LAG silo vehicles. The two companies are now working together for the fourth time. The accumulated experience results in a very specific design for the specialist bulk transport of the Dutch carrier.

Worry-free transportation service

Albert Keijzer is doing well. The transporter just celebrated its 100th anniversary and followed it up with building an impressive new headquarter. Tractors on bio-CNG joined the fleet and the company continues to take new steps in the fight against CO2 consumption, as evidenced by the various environmental certificates that the company has obtained throughout the years.

The logistics centenary offers its customers more than just transport services. General manager Rob de Visser puts it this way: 'The goal is for our customers to operate worry-free. We do this by means of better information facilities, reduction of waste flows, and so on. A good example of this is the collaboration with the Cosun Beet company (formerly Suikerunie). Our tractors ran on self-produced green gas from them. This gave Cosun Beet Company a lean & green star; a very strong achievement! We are very proud of this.”

Sustainability as a priority

The bulk carrier is expanding its fleet with new LAG tipping silo tankers for sugar transport packed with sustainable solutions. 10-ton axles in combination with a trailing axle are equipped on the new trailer. This reduces the friction on the tires. The trailer is also foreseen with the PSI tire inflation system to maintain the correct tire pressure at all costs and to reduce possible downtime to a minimum. LAG Trailers also provides an optimized axle lay-out specifically designed for sugar transport.

In addition to the standard safety applications, the trailer is equipped with a proximity switch on top of the walkway. This prevents the semi-trailer from leaving with an extended tipping cylinder or handrail.

“LAG Trailers designed this series completely tailored to our operations. The focus on safety and sustainability is fully in line with our long-term vision.” says technical manager Jos Baltes.

We conclude from this that Albert Keijzer seems completely ready for the next 100 years of operation.
