The Limburg Export Champion 2023 has recognized the three great winners: LAG Trailers (large companies), Grafityp (SMEs), and Aerobel (Young Potentials). The Limburg Export Award by Voka – KvK Limburg honors companies for their export achievements, highlighting the significance of foreign trade. The Limburg Export Award celebrates its tenth year, recognizing companies in Limburg for their export performance. Voka – KvK Limburg aims to highlight the importance of export and foreign trade. However, in the first half of 2023, Limburg's distant exports dropped by 17% compared to the same period last year, based on obtained certificates of origin. “Export to countries outside the EU remains very important for profitability, that is why we encourage entrepreneurs to fully focus on export”, Dreesen explains.

Top in tankers

LAG Trailers aims to be one of the top three tanker manufacturers the upcoming year. Currently, they hold 14% of the European market, by producing 2.000 tankers annually. In 2025 LAG Trailers targets 3.000 units and a 20% market share. By focusing on standardized products with broad European appeal, LAG Trailers has increased export share to over 75%. They have also expanded production capacity to support sustainable growth. Their efforts earned them the 'Limburg Export Award' for 'Large companies'. A valuable export policy and growth plan, guided from the world market hub, showcase a sustainable entrepreneurship.
