LAG Trailers launches a new generation 45 FT container chassis. The company managed to achieve a weight loss of 400 kg.

Improved economic profitability

An improved economical profitability was the key directive that was given to LAG’s engineering team. Master Designer Kim Vanderhoven takes a look back at the project: “The goal is always to increase the transporters’ profits. The hardest part of such a project is to find the right balance between design, serviceability and production processes.”

According to the Belgian intermodal specialist the vehicle’s weight stands at 3450 kg. Production times have been sharply shortened as well. This will help the trailer builder to handle market fluctuations easier. LAG Trailers offers galvanization as an option with this vehicle type.
