New CEO for LAG Trailers.

LAG Trailers starts the new year off with a new CEO at the helm of the company. Mr. Rob Ramaekers will be the new general manager and managing director of the LAG Group. The previous CEO Alan Zhang will remain closely connected to the Belgian tanker builder.

A familiar face

LAG’s board of directors confirms its confidence in the current COO to lead the daily operations. Mr. Ramaekers is a familiar face at LAG Trailers, where he has spent 29 years of his career. During this period of time he moved up the ranks of the company to become Chief Operating Officer. After 4 years handling the position of COO, he’ll now take over as head of the company from Mr. Alan Zhang.

No changes in corporate strategy

Mr. Alan Zhang has been appointed Director of the ‘Global Business Development’-department of CIMC Vehicles. In this role he will be responsible for all foreign developments concerning new business models, new products as well as new target markets. Taking on this new role, Mr. Zhang will still hold its strong tie to LAG Trailers.

This transition won’t be accompanied by big strategical changes. LAG Trailers will follow through on the same strategy, determined by Mr. Ramaekers and Mr. Zhang in 2014 together with LAG’s management team.
