LAG Trailers introduces IMO-4 tanker.

LAG Trailers, the company that introduced the aluminium tank trailer to Europe in 1958, presented its first IMO-4 fuel semi-trailer for the transportation of mineral oil (diesel-fuel). An IMO-4 tank is a transport vehicle for ADR goods of classes 3 to 9. A great advantage of IMO-4 tanks is the ability to carry goods over land and sea.

Customized solutions

The fuel tanker consists of 8 compartments with a total capacity of 42 000 L. The in-house designed tank bottoms fit seamlessly to the chassis, resulting in extremely low tolerances.

According to the IMDG regulations these tankers must withstand a pressure of 2.65 bar. Currently, no manhole covers in the market meet these requirements. Therefore, LAG has developed its own manhole covers with the corresponding protection systems (vapour recovery, overfill protection, over- and underpressure valve), in close cooperation with the inspection authorities.
