LAG Trailers reaps benefits of recent investments.

LAG Trailers is currently enjoying the positive results of its recent manufacturing related investments. The Belgian company experienced a production increase of over 50 % compared to 2017 for its tipping silo trailers.

A global approach

LAG Trailers did its research in 2016. The tanker specialist explored the possibilities to increase the efficiency in the production process of its silo trailers.

The tanker specialist used a global approach to improve the manufacturing capacity. Next to the important efficiency increases in the production process, the company took a look at other internal workflows that could intelligently increase the production numbers. The engineering department improved further on the modular construction of the vehicles while the company focused much of its attention to the logistical supply of the assembly lines.

Upon these improvements the company invested heavily in spray and drying cabins as well as the new final assembly line. 2018 has been the first complete year for this product type to enjoy the production upgrades.

Future goals

The tipping silo tanker has been used as the primary example in LAG’s ambitious future plans. The silo container product type quickly received the same treatment in the form of a streamlined stroke line in 2018. This product is then also expected to showcase a rise in production numbers by the coming year.
